If you love hook driven pop tunes with a rock edge a la Matchbox 20 and John Mayer then you’ve come to the right place. For years Mitch VanDoff has been writing the kind of tunes that get stuck in your head. On The Beach is finally out. Give it a listen but be warned, you may be humming these tunes for the next few days.
Mitch is a native of Long Island growing up in Long Beach, N.Y. and currently residing in Boynton Beach, FL. As a kid he grew up listening to the music of Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Cliff, Bryan Adams and many other of the great rock and reggae artists of the day. You can hear many of these influences in both his original and cover tunes.
For 25 years Mitch has built a great reputation all over Long Island and the New York area as a unique and talented singer and musician playing solo as well as with his bands Rasta Blanca and The Vibes. Playing a vibrant mix of rock and reggae Rasta Blanca was voted Best Band In The Hamptons by the readers of Dan’s Paper, the Hampton’s most popular weekly newspaper. Two years ago Mitch moved from NY and took his talents to sunny South Florida. Residing in Boynton Beach, FL he has been spreading his unique mix of reggae and rock all over the east coast of South Florida.
Encouraged by the response of audiences to his original music Mitch has just completed his first major original CD release entitled “On The Beach”. Just released in May it features songs which are destined to be instant classics among fans and propel this undiscovered artist to the next level.
Mitch is an active member of ASCAP and the Songwriters Guild of America.
